North Boulevard Town Square This space is planned to accommodate a wide variety of activities ranging from the passive and impromptu, to the active and highly programmed. The North Boulevard Town Square includes venues for entertainment, outdoor dining, and relaxing within the urban context of the street grid. At the southern end of the city’s Arts & Entertainment District, the space will be the hub of outdoor activity during the work week and after hours as well. At the center of the square is the public lawn and a multimedia tower for viewing movies, sports events and displaying pertinent public information and a fixed performance venue at Galvez Plaza. This project received a Merit Award in 2009 from the Louisiana Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects.
