Jennifer ZellJennifer Zell, Landscape Architect, has ten years of professional experience working as a landscape architect, including work on national award-winning civic projects. A native of Southern California, she received a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from California Polytechnic State University in June of 1993 and a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from Louisiana State University in December 2007.

Jennifer has experience collaborating and coordinating project work with architects, civil engineers and lighting designers, as well as preparing and participating in visual and oral presentations to clients. While at Hargreaves Associates in San Francisco, Jennifer worked on several phases of the Guadalupe River Park, a progressive design project involving the US Army Corps of Engineers and several government agencies to create a pedestrian amenity while also providing flood protection for residents of San Jose, California. This experience prepared her for the retail and office projects she completed for the Irvine Company while working at Kirby and Company.

Since joining JFDS in 2008, Jennifer has served as project manager for the Perkins Road Community Park in Baton Rouge, which received a Louisiana Chapter ASLA Merit Award in 2010. She has also served as project manager for the Coquille Parks & Recreation Master Plan - another ASLA Merit Award winner - and the West Feliciana Parish Gateways & Corridors. She is currently overseeing construction of the landscape improvements at First Presbyterian Church. Jennifer occasionally writes feature articles for trade publications including Landscape Architecture magazine. Jennifer is a licensed landscape architect in California and Louisiana.
